Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2020 – Langley Park
Sadly we are unable to observe Remembrance Sunday as usual following the updated guidance issued 5th November 2020.
Will there be a Church Service?
Places of worship are not permitted to open, a service may be broadcast via the link below,
Will there be a Service of Remembrance at The War Memorial?
A Service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday 8th November 2020 between 10:45am and 11:15am and this will broadcast via the link below,
Are Members of the Public Allowed to Attend?
Public attendance is discouraged so please ‘Remember from Home’ and watch using the link above.
The War Memorial will be restricted to only the legally permitted participants between 10:40am and 11:20am. This to allow for social distancing.
Though you may legally stop and observe as spectators, please do this from a distance and be aware that no road closures will be in place.
What is the Current Guidance for Members of the Public?
Members of the Public must only attend with own household or those in their support bubble, or one other person (children under school age, as well as those dependent on round-the-clock care, such as those with severe disabilities, who are with their parents will not count towards the limit on 2 people meeting outside) and observe social distancing rules.
Can I lay a Wreath?
From 11:30am members of the public and community groups may lay Wreaths throughout the day, following the guidance as above. If it is busy, please wait for War Memorial to be clear or come back later.
